Brian Head Drivers started with a problem we experienced firsthand.
After moving to Brian Head in 2024, one of our founders needed a ride to Cedar City. Coming from Phoenix, the obvious solution seemed simple: open Uber or Lyft and request a ride. But when he tried, no drivers were available in Brian Head.
Fortunately, his next-door neighbor Kenneth—a longtime local who had quickly become a friend—was there to help. That ride down the mountain sparked a much bigger question: What are visitors and residents supposed to do when they need reliable transportation and don’t have someone nearby to call?
Brian Head’s remote location, steep mountain roads, winter weather, and limited rideshare availability create transportation challenges that don’t exist in most cities. We saw an opportunity to combine firsthand understanding of that problem with years of local knowledge and create a service specifically for this community.
Brian Head Drivers was born in the winter of 2024: one new resident who discovered the need firsthand, one longtime local who knew the mountain, and a shared idea to build the transportation service Brian Head was missing.
